Date Posted: Tue, September 11 2018, 14:01:06 Visited both beaches described currently at the Tinos page, Platia Ammos and Cape Gastria, in September 2018. Please notice there is another beach in Tinos called Paxia (or Pachia) Ammos, at a complete opposite direction (and wrongly identified in some maps available in the islands!). My experience was slightly different from the most recent one described there: I found more nudists in Platia Ammos than in Cape Gastria, although the latter is much more secluded and difficult to reach. I found Cape Gastria picturesque but very small, the amount of sand available was quite limited and some people stayed in the rocks, which didn't seem comfortable. But my biggest disappointment was to find only one nudist, all the others (2 or 3 couples) were clothed. Platia Ammos is much wider, a beautiful beach, and there were nudists in both extremities - the right side is better, as it is farther from the entrance path. Please notice the beach is not totally secluded, it is fully visible from the road and houses there. There is also a constant presence of textiles, mostly locals living nearby, but they seem to be used to coexist with nudists. Although not ideal, Platia Ammos is a reasonable option for naturists in Tinos. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
