Sue,

My first pregnancy was diagnosed with Hydrocephulas, sometimes referred to as "water on the brian". The doctors told me the baby would be retarded and that he most likely had other medical concerns. He is now 11 years old, he has no developmental delays and no medical concerns. An MRI and CAT scan show that he still has moderate hydro.

If you or your friend would like more info, don't hesitate to e-mail me at bc300yds@hotmail.com

Please feel free to continue to post!

Take care,

Shellie

I am expecting twins and ultrasound and MRI shows that Baby B has water on the brain. I will be meeting with a ped. neurosurgeon in the next couple of weeks.

Hi Alida,

How far along are you? Did they say if the Hydro was mild, moderate, or severe? I don't know if you saw my post above, but my son was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus durning my pregnancy. He is 14 years old and as no problems. I'd love to share info with you. If you have any questions, let me know. I can't answer everything, but I've done a lot of research since my son was diagnosed with Hydro and I might be able to help shed some light on the subject.

Take care,

Shellie
