LKJ is a reggae phenomenon. The world’s first reggae poet, whose cutting social commentary is still unrivalled 25 years after his debut. Add to this The Dennis Bovell Dub Band, one of the best reggae acts period, and it’s easy to see why LKJ is such an inspirational figure in reggae. July he released his first ever DVD, LKJ Live in Paris with the Dennis Bovell Dub Band, celebrating 25 years recording. Now, they’ll perform their only UK gig of 2004, giving British audiences a rare chance to see why Touch Magazine named the accompanying LKJ Live in Paris CD Reggae Album of the Month.
Selecting the evenings soundtrack is David Rodigan, who’s been THE leading voice in reggae broadcasting for 25 years. Whether hosting his Kiss100 show, his residency at Mass in Brixton or touring the globe he remains as passionate as ever.
