Subject: Original Gorgon news letter

 My grandfather Peter Russo S1C (cook) (1st Division) had an old Gorgon news letter he kept (maybe because he was on it or because he didn't have a camera) of the "Swimming Carnival" in Australia. Does anyone remember this event? He also recalls a fire at an Australian port that he received a medal for. Does anyone have more information on these events? This has been a great site for the USS Euryle, it's crew and it's descendants.
