我覺得林志美和其他歌手不同之處,在於共其他歌手D歌通常有歌後
才有詞,再由歌手理解,很難做到融合,最多做到一首旋律優美的歌,
但林志美的歌,因她也是作曲和作詞人,又高技巧,她對人生又充滿
感受,因此做到一首歌三重感覺,扣人心弦,令人震撼.

我認為她可說是香港的Karen Carpenter. 甚至更出色.

我覺得,無論唱得多努力,唱別人的歌,很難會唱得出色,一來先入為主,二來很易墮入自己唱法及原唱者的混淆,三來已耳熟能詳,聽都聽到慣,四來歌是要配合人的.

其實,林志美D歌,最出色除了是旋律優美外,其實是歌曲+歌詞+唱法極能表達出某種意境,如 :
風與我的 - 全是冰凍
別了別了的 - 為何分開這麼久, 還是那麼心痛和捨不得
北國風情畫 - 與愛人在火爐邊的溫暖
你愛的只有我 - 好似自已任性的女友
白日夢 - 抱著愛人,不理world怎轉
留多一秒鐘 - 望著愛人離去,扮能與他再伴久點
many more
無論是自己作的,自己選的,或別人選的,也能做此意境
不知怎的,個人覺得,愈是後期,愈是覺得她的歌"肥膩" (商業化), 歌曲和唱法也approach其他歌手,真希望她能像初出道時,作一些民歌mix
情歌的作品... 不要再唱別人的歌吧...

要付出努力,才能有出色的作品. 畢竟,大家也不年輕了,不能單靠歌藝... 始終,歌曲和歌詞才是表達感情的最直接方法..
