Actually no, dear, it means we have something else in common: You're revoltingly normal. :)

Everyone is sided to some degree because the human body isn't symmetrical (Clara, if it's spelled wrong, I was born without the spelling gene [;-Þ]). For instance, one of my ears is a quarter of an inch higher than the other, and like most women, my breasts are a different size and also not quite level. (I know, Ben, FAR too much information)
;-0 Anyway, as much as we'd like to believe we move with unified motion, everybody compensates in certain ways every day. A lot of my vocal technique is based on a combination of Alexander, Feldenkrais and Kinesthetic Awareness, and one of the coaches I regularly work with works through all of those processes. I often will come into a coaching and discover that one side is a little tighter or more "smooshed" than the other, that I've been holding one shoulder a little closer/higher/tighter, etc. The cool thinkg about discovering this is that it means that you're becoming more aware of the inner workings of your body, and that's going to help you in all kinds of ways.

Congratulations on the discovery!

:) LC - who really LOVES body work.
