It is with great 'pride' and pleasure we announce the newest Australian Champion in North Queensland. LaSimba Look With Pride, aka Kel, gained the required eight (8) points yesterday at the Tully Championship Show under Mr. Stephenson (Vic) to achieve her Champion title. This lovely little lady is an outright credit to her breeders Fiona and Michael Long (LaSimba) of Brisbane and of course, her Mum, Kierra (Au Ch Kettleridge Karla Kierra) and Dad, Jelani (Au Ch Riginal Lightnin Jack E T). Kel also managed BOB yesterday, so it was a great way to gain her title. Our sincere thanks go to Fiona for her unending support and advice, Bev and Ken Vandine for their great patience and help from day one, all the judges who have awarded Kel at the various shows since July 2001, all the RR community for their assistance, Linda Boyle for our show training classes and Jacqui Cant for allowing Kel to run with her girls. As complete novices to the world of dog showing, Rhonda and I are understandably 'over the moon' with Kelmeister's achievement. Our final thank you must go to Kel's personal assistant, Spencer, the lovliest, most patient 9 year old Ridgie that God ever put on earth - they are truly a team and undoubtedly, Spence will be a dutiful stepdad in the next year when Kelanco babies arrive. Thanks again everyone.
