Okay. I am not going to try and prove that the
earth is round, because to you it is impossible.

What I am going to do is criticise your debunking
of a scientific experiment. You say that you value
scientific experimentation, yet your conclusions against
the outcome of the experiment are based on nothing
even mildly resembling empirical or scientific observations
or evidence. Take for instance...

>Okay, but you're assuming here that heat and cold are
>beyond God's control.

... Well.. if we are going to assume that EVERYTHING is
within god's control (which I assume you believe is true),
then how can any scientific experimentation be performed
on anything? Science has to assume that an experiment is
repeatable and are subject to a natural law that is the
same for all objects. The problem with your retort is that
it cannot possibly be shown to be false -- but it can't
ever be scientifically proven TRUE either, since it disobeys
any natural law that we could measure it with. All you do
is use a miracle as an excuse for inconsistancy.

>God does from time to time make things somewhat
>deceptive in order to test our faith. The question
>is... can you believe the Bible in the face of all
>this "evidence"? I can, which makes my faith strong
>indeed.

No.. it makes your faith BLIND, indeed. You believe what
you believe because people have told you to believe it.
In the face of massive evidence against your position,
you can only cling to the idea that God made it happen...
an idea both unprovable and immune to criticism, which
of course makes it utterly unscientific. Saying that you
believe in experimentation is a JOKE if you are unwilling
to accept the outcome.

If you want to test your faith, visit this website:
http://www.ffrf.org/lfif/ -- read the chapters and
take the 'Easter Challenge'.

Basically, just find out what happened on Easter. You will
agree that this is an important event, as Paul himself
wrote:
"And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not." (I Corinthians 15:14-15)

Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John all give accounts of
Easter. Just read their verses from Easter morning to the
end of the book, and make a timeline of events. Obviously, times of day are not specific so guesses are permissable.
The only criteria is that NO BIBLICAL DETAILS CAN BE
OMITTED. I think you'll find it quite impossible. There
are many contradictions between who was there, what time it
happened, and what was said. Obviously they cannot all be
correct. If they can't even decide on what happened when
Jesus was resurrected, there isnt reliable evidence to say
that he was ever ressurected at all.
