Subject: Most pageants are fair. Just because someone does't agree w/ the judging does not make it fixed. Moms always think their kids did better than the judges thought they did because the judges are not their MOMS. Don't let anonymous bashers make your decisions for you. If they had anything legitimate to say they would not have to come here & post their gossip anonymously. This is a forum for people who do NOT have any justification for it but who want to hurt people anyway. If there was anything legitimately wrong with a pageant you would hear about it from more reliable sources than this.
In reply to: Original Poster 's message, "I have a son who competes and he's only been in 3 other pageants. Before we make the lengthy trip, I just wanted to see if he would have a chance. We AREN"T looking for an easy win, just a fair system. He can win on his own merits, but doesn't have a coach, etc. so if that's required, he's already lost." on 08:56:44 06/19/02 Wed

[> [> If it helps any - most pageants only have a handful of boys entered at all, if that many. Boys are not generally held to the same standard girls are (as far as coaches, photos & etc.) If this pageant has boys & girls compete separately then he would only be competing with other boys & very few boys in Texas have pageant coaches so you might have as good as shot as any. If you had a daughter it would be a different story. -- No name, 12:16:13 06/21/02 Fri
