Subject: My Two Cents

I have been reading what some people/person has been posting about Ms. Rhonda of Diamonds &
Pearls and I want to post what I feel. First of all, we have only been doing pageants for a little
over a year. We have done several prelims and a couple of states and nationals. We have always
been very pleased with Diamonds and Pearls on every level. No matter where my child has placed
(and she has placed everywhere from future queen to an Overall) we have always been happy.
The quality of the prizes and crowns have always been very great to the entry fees. Ms Rhonda
has never pressured us to spend more or enter more than what we had planned on entering. My
daughter has always been very happy with her prizes and we have never been to a pageant (with
Diamonds & Pearls or any other) that she hasn’t been able to meet new friends. I have read what
people have been saying and happened to be at a pageant cookout this weekend where Ms
Rhonda and her daughter were attending. I asked her there if she was aware of what was being
said about her. She said yes, she had been told by others. I asked her why didn’t she defend
herself and her answer to me was that it was pointless to do so. She said that used to when
someone was saying something about her or her system, she used to take it to heart and try to
post in defense, but some people are just mean and it does no good. She said that it takes too
much time to try to do it and she is too busy working on her pageant system. Reading more on
these boards, I see that she is right. I have seen her accused of posting things when she was at the
very function I was at. That to me is proof that there are those who will just say things either
lying or assuming something they don’t know. Further, I look on her track record. At her
pageants, she has always given what she says she will give and there is never any pro-rating in her
pageants. Her entry fees have always been very reasonable and as a business person myself (not
pageant-related) I cannot see that she ever makes a profit. Also in her track record I have never
heard her say anything bad about another parent, contestant or pageant system. And I have asked
her opinion about other systems and she always says you have to try it for yourself because not
every system is for everyone, so you need to experience it for yourself and make up your own
mind. Also, I have seen her accused by people (or a person) of bashing on the boards. I have
never seen anyone post any proof of this ever being true. I know that Ms Rhonda posted about
someone that was bashing her and others and I thought it was great. She did not do it
anonymously, rather she posted her proof and signed her name. Now I am not saying that she is
perfect or anything, because I know that we are all only human. But I do not believe what I have
read because no one has ever posted any evidence. I believe that if anyone had certain proof, it
would have already been posted. Although we have always had positive experiences in pageants,
these boards bring about very scary people. I can only encourage posters to stop the drama. It is
like some are not happy unless they are causing trouble. Please people, we are in pageants for our
children, they would not be pleased if they knew their parents were carrying on in such a manner.

Her theory is to trash the competition so that they come to her pageants. What goes around, comes around. People are not going to put up with her crap anymore.
