Does anyone know anything about the Cinderela pageants?
My daughter wants to enter but I hear they are overrated, overpriced for what you recieve and that any money you win you have to spend a fortune to go to the next level to recieve any awards. i also heard that the directors have their winners picked before the pageant even begins I hear the winners for this year have been raveling with the director and will be going with the queens on the queens trip does anyone have an opinion?

[> Here we go again. Bashing a good system that does not allow FAKE anything. They want natural beauty. Of course this one will be bashed, because GUESS WHO can't compete? Guess they can't force the director to change or alter the NO FAKE RULE on this one! Soooooo......... interesting how they work. -- Seems like they want to take over the entire pageant industry. They need to be stopped., 05:41:10 05/08/02 Wed

And, #2- If you disagree with the post, instead of jumping up and bashing the poster, why don't you express your "positive" opinion about that pageant system?!? -- Are you that eaten up by hatred that you can't do anything but spit out these horrible, hate-filled posts? [> We had a great time -- did a prelim, 09:27:56 05/08/02 Wed

I can only tell you what we experienced. We were held up in one of the terrible rains that came through in April. We got stuck in our driveway and arrived right at start time. The director was kind. She had waited about as long as she could. We hurried about to be ready and although we had to rush, we had a great time.

Everyone was nice and the trophies are among the best we have received. We will return to Cinderella even after we stop doing the other because it is a natural system where your child really must be confident and talented to be rewarded.

My daughter is too young or we would make the trip for state. We had just discussed this very subject when I read your post.

I do not know anything about pre-picking winners. I don't want to know about anything other than what I see for myself. I liked what I saw.

I have heard nothing but good about Cinderella. Have not been fortunate enough to compete there yet but it's always a matter of bad timing or something like that. The director seems to be super-nice and very professional and I always hear what a great job they did & how great they treat their contestants.

[> [> First off lady, anyone can win Cinderella. Did you know one of the girls who won this past year is coached by Donna Butts and another is coached by Susan Gosney? And all the rest don't even have coaches! Therefor, anyone can win! And yes, the 2000 queens are going on the trip with the 2001 queens. I don't know why Kelli did this. Guess you better ask her. -- someone who knows, 20:42:00 05/08/02 Wed

[> [> [> Well, lets see here. Madison lee goes to donna b. and that was a winner. All winners had h/m done by gayle. they paid 350.00 to get the natural look. whatever that means. yes, its political as hell. -- No name, 03:39:19 05/09/02 Thu

[> [> [> [> [> You can not put a price on the confidence that cinderella builds in their contestants. No other system puts so much into their winners and their contestants competing in the State pageant. Take a look at most of the Miss America Teen Contestants and winners...many of them are Cinderella girls that came up through the system...Seems like a good Track record to me... -- Try it before you bash it! Oh and by the way the fees include all of your hotel, parties and meals!, 23:54:32 05/15/02 Wed

>1st dear I'm a man not a lady and I was just asking you don't have to bite my head off. If people like you are entering I sure don't want to go!!!!! and as for being too late for this year I was really asking for next year and for your info. I'm not an idiot!!!!! I'm just a caring Father wanting the best for my child. You just need to chill!!!!!!

[> Cinderella is by far the best pageant system my daughter has ever competed in. From the level of competition to the awards that they offer to the caliber of people who attend it is Top Notch all the way! The State Director is a wonderful person and she truly loves helping the families and seeing the children succeed. If you are not competing this year at the State pageant do try to go watch the competition, I can guarantee you will run to the next preliminary that your child can compete in. -- Cinderella is the only system that truly builds a childs talent, interview and modeling skills to levels beyond your own comprehension. >I am sure I will be bashed or called an idiot for saying this, but I don't think you have to do a prelim to go to state, we only went once talent is a very big part in there system and we could not compete with some of the awesome talent that was there. We did win beauty.

I'm not understanding do these people stay up late at night to think up something to complain about ? CINDERELLA IS A GREAT PROGRAM . Whoever has started this Cinderella bashing has to be a very sore loser. My daughter has been in Cinderella for 4 years and I will say we have always done well, but thats not what it's about. It's about making new friends and seeing old friends and she and I having a great time together. She has friends from all over Texas and the World, real friends not the kind that will stab you in the back first chance they get.We do a few gliz pageants and what we have seen is people at those kinds of pageants are so nice till your child wins then they turn on you like a pack of wolfs. You never see that in Cinderella , But to be a Cindy Girl it takes class. We may have had a few bad apples but they don't stay around very long I must say that not every one can compete in Cinderella We are about natural beauty in and out. Yes Gayle does h/m on a few but not all in top 5. I know because my daughter has been in top 5 every year, and we never have used Gayle.I just can't understand people that are so unhappy and have nothing else to do but bash a great program.

[> Frist off why dose it matter if the past queens go on a Queens trip? It is a QUEENS TRIP. Plus the judges are not there.Sec. we have gone off and on for yrs. The "high fees" that includes 4 parties, 4 or 5 GREAT meals, 5 nights at a 5 *hotel, My daughter gets to dance w/frogs, blow bubble gum bubbles, Do the disco Cindy, and who knows what eles Kelli has in mind this year. Our group fundraises for our fees it makes us more a group and plus it teaches our kids they have to work for what they want.We was in the top 5 last yr. we did not use ANY H/M person. -- And it was our 1st. yr as a tot. We do some glit. pag. but we are not BIG TIME. ALSO My daughter won St. as a 1 yr old and we got $500. cash that night + fees off int. so wedidn't use it for Int .AC, 15:12:02 05/16/02 Thu
