Subject: Melon-eating tortoise of KLK

Outside KLK, to the east, in the melon fields, is a tortoise with a "puzzled frown". Find him when he's cool, and he's "impatient", find him when he's hot and he's "lethargic." In either case you can pick melons, cut them up, and "feed" them to him. But I can't figure out what to do from there, or if he's just here for amusement value.
