Yup in the right place, see syntax thread to thread the needle and syntax sew (or fix can't remember) to fix the shoes, you need a particular thread tho so get all the ones you can from the basket and fix it with one of them, go to the monk at the entrance (the one whining about where brother turbil is with the shoes) and give him the shoe, he'll probably rip the thread out so fix it again and give it back, repeat until he thinks you've done a good enough job (pretty sure it depends on whether you use the right thread or not though it may be skill related) I still haven't completed this one btw
