Well you have to do ALL the quests in the netherworld to get misty to really really like you. I'm not sure what you mean when you say you're looking for a bollard? never even seen one of those and no idea what you'd need it for. you open the book the same as any other book. try syntax open and syntax turn while you have the book in your inventory
