The snow white mare glances at the steed and then to the two young ones playing not too far away. She remembers December's words. *make yourself at home*. She thinks for a moment, then decides to retreat to the shadows to rest, and observe. Slowly she ambles to an area of relative shade and paws at the snow until a patch of grass is exposed. She lays down but keeps her icey blue eyes on the steed. She feels a mix of anxiety and fear of the stallion, but remains still. Her ears dance atop her head once in awile to listen to the young ones but her eyes remain locked.
