At many snorkelling sites, corals and marine life are in shallow water (usually <20 feet deep). With clear waters and sufficient light, you should have no problems taking underwater photos while snorkelling. Check out my October 2004 trip diary in the Diary Section - those pics taken at the Marine Park Centre were captured while snorkelling.

I'll be going to Redang next week and I'm very excited about it :D.
I want to take photos but not sure what are the things I need.

Are there any disposable underwater camera available in the market?

Yes, Kodak and Fuji. The Fuji one works really well but this year I was not able to find any. The Kodak underwater disposable camera can be found almost anywhere. Have fun :)
