There is a lot of accomodations available in Merang. What you have to do is figure out how much your budget is ;-).
Sutra Beach Resort offers good quality and clean accomodation but it might be a bit busy at time as they have a paint-ball field and a lot of govt dept use it for seminars and courses. Stingray is also a good and clean place to stay but not as expensive. The Aryani is a fabulous place but quite steep. If you are driving, then that makes it easier. Just drive down and have a look at the places.
