Subject: REDANG BAY vs REDANG LAGOON (1st Time to Redang)

Hi All,

Am going redang (1st time) next week with hubby. Kinda last minute plan. Based on budget (and hubby like to have have pple around) we've narrowed to Redang Lagoon or Redang Bay.

Do advise which is better (seaview rooms/balcony/safety etc)

P/S: thought of redang reef but hubby don't like d walk to the 'cliff' and looks quite a distance from 'night life area'

thanks a lot
lina

Hi Lina,

Pasir Panjang beach is only (to my estimate) at most 1.25 kilometres long along the shoreline. Time wise, it take about ten to 15 minutes to walk from Redang Reef, southern end, to Redang Holiday Villa, northern end. That's all. It is not like Tioman where resort to resort requires water taxi.

Try this website www.redang.org, go to the resort section where there are some pictures and other detail information like the location of each resort on Pasir Pangjang beach.

Redang Reef offers privacy and the boardwalk along the rocky each is a far cry from cliff like structures. And most definitely not far from the night life. Redang Beach is only 3 to 4 minutes away from Redang Reef to Redang Beach beach disco. Just wanted to point this fact out.
[ BTW - not lobbying for any of the Resorts :))) ]

Redang Lagoon has seafacing view based on the old and most recent pictures I took. Redang Beach, can't say much about it except that it has concrete double storey buildings and possibly with seaview from the second storey units.

Have fun which ever resort you should pick.

tango :)

Lina,

Same goes for Redang Bay, two storey buildings, seafacing? Possibly. Not sure. Check the website www.redang.org, resort section with some information that might help you decide.

With Regards,

Redang Lagoon (Lagoon) have actually got a couple of rooms facing the sea and on the beach-front. Redang Bay (Bay) have got only dorms that is actually facing the sea. Lagoon however doesn't have their own in-house (on-beach?) disco. But it is next to both Beach and Bay. For both, it takes less than a minute from wherever you are in the resort to go to the beach. Both offers safety, balcony and a bit of sea-view.

If seaview is what your looking for, choose Lagoon. If people and night-life is what you want, choose Bay.

For me, Redang is all about nature. The coral life and fishes. Whichever place you stay, you will be enthralled by the natural attractions that Redang has to offer. Hope you enjoy your stay in Redang.
