It's called creative spelling, oh brilliant one. You seem to be thinking of the male name Angus, which would indeed be uncommon for a woman of this time period. Agnuss, while a very ugly (HINT HINT) misspelling (aka "kreeaytif speeling") of the lovely Agnes, is stil a feminine name. Get your facts straight, genius.

To the player of "Agnuss": Please consider using "Agnes" (or better yet, Agatha) instead. Unlike today, creative spellings were not very common at all. Agnes fits in much better. Plus, Agnuss just looks dang ugly.
