WE BELIEVE THAT SAMUEL MCGINNIS IS RELATED TO US, ACCORDING TO MY DAUGHTER THERE WAS LAND RECORDS FROM NEAR LIGONIER,PA. ACCORDING TO THE RECORDS SAMUEL OWNED THE LAND AND IT WAS SOME HOW IN BOTH THE NAMES OF SAMUEL AND
JOHN MCGINNIS WHO WE BELIEVE IS OUR GREAT GRANDFATHER.THERE ARE SEVERAL SAMUELS IN THE PA. CENSUS ONE IN THE 1850 CENSUS THAT WE KNOW AS OUR G.G.JOHN MCGINNIS'S BROTHER.AND ONE IN THE 1860 CENSUS WE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT HIS FAMILY.
