Subject: McGuinness

Hi, I wonder if anyone has any links to the McGuinness
family in West Cumbria (UK) especially the Whitehaven and Cleator Moor area.

My grandfather was called John Patrick McGuinness born in Whitehaven in 1904 - his father was also JP (John Patrick) I believe he may have died young (possibly 28 or 29yrs old).

I am not 100% sure but I believe my great/great granfather was called William McGuinness and was born in Ireland about 1850/51.....

Any info would be very helpful!
