Subject: McGinnis

I'm beginning to research my family history. What I've been told by my late grandfather and my great
uncle are the same. Two McGinnis brothers arrived from Ireland in the carolinas as indentured
servants(not sure of the time frame). They allegedly kill d thier "owner" and moved inland. One
eventually settled in Al, the other in KY. The Al brother's descedent moved to east Texas (Quitman
area) toward the end of the civil war. That man was my great-great grandfather. My grandfather
moved to MI during he late twenties where I was later born and raised. Ever heard anything like
this? I'm looking for validation or disproof. I'm also looking for names, of course.
