Did he have a son John? b. c. 1828 Hobart. I am trying to discount a John McGINNIS who married Helena MEAD/HAYBURN in 1834 in Tas. I know the ages don't fit, but could be a connection somewhere? My John McGINNIS ended up on the Vic Goldfields.
