Subject: Conspiracy Theory - SD5

Ok. Sorry about the message subject but I wanted to get your attention.
I mentioned in an earlir post that i had an idea as to why THQ proceeded to develop SD5 with Warrior in it without opening negotiations with him first.

Note, this is a theory. Not based on facts, just a little something that's been banging around in my head.

First of all, the legends section was added to SD5 primarily to compete with the LOW series. THQ and WWE knew they had to do something special to make it stand out from LOW. So they added the one attraction that was inexplicably left out by Acclaim: The Ultimate Warrior. THQ were most likely not briefed in the history between Warrior and Titan so they may not have known that Warrior was higly unlikely to agree for his likeness to be put in a game synonymous with WWE. They probably proceeded thinking that WWE had the rights to the list of wrestlers they were given and thought no more about it. WWE knew that to get Warrior to agree to be in the game they would have to hand over a huge one time fee as well as hefty royalty payments based on sales.
So they said to hell with it. They proceeded with plans to put Warrior in without consulting him first. They figured that if, no WHEN the case came before court they would get away with paying Warrior the same amount they had paid the other "legends" i.e probably not much more than roaylties. They could keep court costs down by simply admitting they were wrong. It was a slip up. A breakdown in communication between WWE and THQ. It would then be up to Warrior to try to persuade the courts he really is worth alot more than the others. No doubt WWE would get involved here and slate Warrior's good name to the last in order to make it look to the court that his claim was bogus.

There it is. Let me know what you think. Agree, disagree or should Scrapiron Bryan just try to get some sleep?
