Subject: TRCW News- British Bulldog Looks Great- Candido & Sunny no show again!

TRCW Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Promoter: Bobby Jay

Breaking News: TJ Bratt severely Injured

Details are sketchy but TJ Bratt was wrestling Sunday in Saskatoon for Pro Outlaw Wrestling when the cable rope snapped. Bratt fell to the floor banging his head. The rope whipped into him as well causing undetermined injuries. He is not a risk of death or being paralyzed, but some undetermined injuries may require surgery. We will give you an update as we get it.
The fans and crew are praying for you TJ.

Chris Candido & Sunny No Show Again

Chris Candido & Sunny, who no showed the TRCW Show on April 13th, promised to appear in the May 11th show in Winnipeg. For the final two weeks prior to the May 11th show, Promoter Bobby Jay was trying to contact them for the flight times, as they promised to take care of it. Their cell phone and was almost always off, and several messages were left at their home number. Jay did manage to contact them a few times over this period, but they always said they would call him back as they were on the other line or sleeping, or their cell phone was cutting out on their end.

Finally, Sunny informed TRCW Officials late Thursday night that they double booked themselves for Winnipeg and Boston and were trying to work things out to work both shows. Sunny said she would notify TRCW Friday with the details, but had her cell phone turned off all day and made to attempt to call.

Promoter Bobby Jay talked with Candido on the day of the show. Candido said he was sleeping as he had a late night as someone was hurt at their show in Boston. He said they were still trying o work things out and he would call back later. He never returned that call. We apologize that they were not at our show on Saturday. TRCW has no plans to EVER book them again. Their agent at indybookings.com has already pulled them off his web site as he apologizes as well.

TRCW Officials have been unable to contact them about returning their air fare ($1200.00 CD- about $800.00 US) and their deposits ($100.00 US each), which were sent to them 6 weeks ago.

British Bulldog Makes his TRCW Debut!!

The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith and his 16 year old son Harry Smith made their debuts this weekend. The shows drew 240 in Brandon, Manitoba and 568 in Winnipeg

The Bulldog is looking better than ever and seemed to not miss a beat in his first in ring action in almost 2 years. He was tremendously over in his matches in Winnipeg and Brandon, in which he, and his son teamed up and were victorious.
Promoter Bobby Jay says Smith is a true professional and a pleasure to work with and hopes to have him back soon.

Harry is a blue chipper all the way. At 16, he is a true student of the game, combines high flying with innovative moves that fans have never seen before. He is already 6’4” and just over 200 lbs and still growing. A father-son team of the Bulldogs in the WWE in the future would be great to see.

Malibu, Sheik & Cox screw Stardom again!!

Johnny Malibu told Rob Stardom last Wednesday at Chalmer if he wanted another title shot he would have to beat the Crimson Sheik and Steve Cox in a handicap match.

Stardom took a tremendous beating, but scored the victory when Cox hit the Sheik by mistake. Malibu then came in and said his title shot was right then and there and pinned him.

Stardom now wants Malibu in a Lumberjack Match.

ICW Money Backer revealed- ICW wins 50% of TRCW

Impact Championship Wrestling led by Showtime Robby Royce, The Axe, TJ Bratt, JP Kaos and Karnage shocked the crowd at Southdale unveiling Dynamite Dave Petro as the financial backer of ICW.

Early in the night, during an unscheduled ICW promo, Bobby Jay interrupted to challenge any one of the ICW members to a match. Royce said only if Jay would put up 50% ownership of TRCW. Commissioner Petro made the match and later on Jay wrestled newest member JP Kaos and dominated him. Then Royce, Bratt and Axe came out. Petro stopped them at ringside. Jay delivered his second Beauty Buster on Kaos, but he and Spanky the Ref were distracted my the melee outside the ring, when through the crowd came Karnage to spear Jay and put a beating Kaos on top for the 1-2-3 giving ICW 50% ownership of TRCW.

ICW hit the ring and were beating in Jay, when Petro came in and grabbed a chair that Bratt was carrying, then turned around and nailed Jay.

They all hit the ring and announced the Petro was behind the who ICW formation and started beating Jay until Zack Mercury, Harry Smith and The British Bulldog all made the save.

They challenged ICW to a 6 man tag later on for the main event. The main event was wild and crazy, with 2 refs knocked out, a run in by Karnage and a broken table. When it was all said and done and the dust cleared The Bulldog pinned Royce with a running Powerslam.

Wavell Starr and Principal Richard Pound battle Gene Swan and Brian Jewel to no contest!!

Wavell Starr and Principal Richard Pound attacked Brian Jewel and Gene Swan after they won the TRCW Tag Team Titles at Spring Fever. They battled them to a no contest after all four wrestlers pulled out straps and were strapping each other and Spanky the Ref

Defenders Of Faith – Big Bullies

The Shadow Chaser, the leader of the D.O.F defended his DOF Belt against fellow member Des Aster and had him take a dive. Then later, he interfered helping P Worthington Love beat Reggie Gallagher.

Then, they stooped to new lows in a mixed tag team match featuring Vixen and Darien Karisma against DOF members Mad Man Muir and Private Parts. When Karisma tagged in Vixen, Muir refused to tag in his partner and the 330 Muir splashed Vixen, then out from the back came female rookie of the year Lynn Adams, who tried to save Vixen, but the DOF beat on her as well.

At Stampede Invasion, the DOF were teamed with Pete Wilson and Nick Nog from the Calgary Based Mat Rats promotion for a young guns 10 man tag. After Wilson won then the match with a spectacular 450 splash, the DOF them beat up the 16 year old Wilson, who stand only 5’3” and weighs a mere 112 lbs for no apparent reason until the other Mat Rats made the save.

Word in the Locker Room is that many are getting irritated with their “bully” tactics. Lynn Adams has already signed to meet Private Parts Wednesday at Chalmers.

Get Well Caveman!!!

Legendary local wrestler Caveman Broda has recently had some health problems and we at TRCW, wish all the best and God bless you Caveman.

Broda has never wrestled for TRCW but has touched many of the TRCW crew who have either worked with him, or saw him perform.

Broda’s home promotion The CWF will be holding a tribute show on May 26th in Winnipeg with many on the TRCW wrestlers, including promoter Bobby Jay on hand to pay tribute to a legend and one the classiest men to ever grace the squared circle. If you want tickets to that event call 988-4986.

Rumor Mill:

TRCW will be on Tour the first week in July. Fans in the Brandon area check your local listings for TRCW on your local cable access channel this weekend. The Mad Bomber and The Gnarly Hippy Floyd Osbourne were very impressive in their TRCW debuts last week and hope to return soon.
