Christ-like (God perfection) is something we strive for. It is something true Christians strive for till their dying day. Striving is not error free.

Jehovah God does not say you cannot follow whatever you like, just that the end of a lifestyle and life that is void of a heart commitment to Jesus Christ of Nazareth will spend an eternity in the lake of fire. Why? because we/I/you have rejected the testimony of the creator of all things, including us. It is about His great love, that gives us freedom to choose (free moral agency) and He hopes you will choose to re-establish your relationship with Him thru Jesus Christ and spend eternity together with Him and interacting with all He has made, which incidently, He made for us.
