Subject: Hey there!

Hey Steve.
Well, I was rummagin threw the WWW and I cam eacross your page. It's pretty tight and i like the way you have stuff layed out on the black backgound. Any-who, I came to your story about band and, of course, read the whole thing. Let me tell you, I havent met anyone yet whose story about how they got into band is so freakin close to mine!!! Reading it seriously made me reflect on my being in band, and helped me see that nobody is perfect at what they do, and that I can make it to College band too! I have been feeling really down about playing and all that, seeing that I just started during the spring of 8th grade and the summer b4 high school. That whole staring at a page in a different language...i can dig it...and the Senior teaching you to read and play, well, I was in Chorus since i was like 4 so i could read music, but one of my greatest inspirations, and a guy who is like a brother to me, the Drum Major this year and last at Winter Springs high, taught me just about everything i know about Playing (all that I didnt try to teach myself). Well, I had been getting depressed about it b/c there are 8th graders who play a lot better than I Technicaly, but I have what they call inspirational playing (whatever that is...lol). Well, I feel better knowing i dont actualy suck all that bad, and knowing that I can get better. Your story has really touched my heart, and I thank you for sharing it on your page. It really does mean alot to me, and I know that no matter what I chair (I find out on Monday), there is always the challenge-for-chair, and I can always improve day by day. I have found a family that I can never lose, and have gained so much knowledge(amoung other stuff) that i will never forget. I truly am a band nerd too b/c I miss Marching Season soooooo much!!! Only cus my band kicks brASS...not b/c of the suck ass football team.Well, I dont want to take up too much more space so I will shut up now. Thanks again!!!!Kepp it Real!

Rockin' the >=iii=<0 sounds!
Mary
