This is somewhat true, a lot of colleges want a runner who can run a good 800, 1500 and 3000 as well as be a good competitor in cross. Like mark Sylvestor for instance, he ran 1:49 last year and couldnt get a full at either michigan or arkansas. He's a fast guy but his top distance is 800, but he does run 47 and 1:49 which are respectible times. To get a full you have to have a range, and with all the American kids this year running sub 9 for 2 miles and around 4:05 for tyhe mile you have to have the range. In other years I would say you could gte a full with just an 800 to a good school but I think hti syera it will be tough.
Just my thoughts and Im sure lincoln will go to a good school on a good scholarship,
