Earth Bound Angel
~ I met a girl in my homeroom class with red hair that curled and tangled; When I asked her name she told me, but I called her Earth Bound Angel. Pretty and fair, without a doubt, but that isnt why I loved her. She had a way of making you feel that moments with her were more "funner".
I read the morning paper,and I folded up and cried. There upon the front page, today the angel died. Sad is the man who's tasted the honey, but will never taste it again. Will I ever accept the angel's death, will I ever face the pain. ~
I wrote that corny poem as a sad young teen for an assignment in English class. Almost 30 years later, I suddenly remembered every word. The one thing I remember most about Jennie, is that she loved her daughter and was very proud of her. She teased me mercilessly in public, but in private, she was always a real lady and proud mom. I extend my heart-felt condolences to her family and friends, and most of all, to BL. You won my respect a thousand times over, BL, the way you guarded her heart for so long.
