In reply to: G "THEseventhLETTER 's message, "In Memory of Vengeance" on 19:01:11 02/15/04 Sun

That poem I wrote, was written in general. I do not know "vengeance" or "DD" nor have I ever.... Im new to this room, and somewhat a novice poet. I was asked to write about vengeance, and I declined, because of the above, I didnt want to write a poem about someone I did not know and possibly offend others. I wrote about loss, and how it felt to me.... Tuffy decided to post it here with my nick, as if I posted it, which I did not. I do not like the way it looks or is presented. I did give her permission to take the poem, although now, I regret it. If my words have offended or irked anyone, DD in particular, I apologize. I have looked at DD and Vengeance's pics and read alot of the things spoken of them, and apparently both are well respected and liked, and although I do not know either one, I have been put in an awkward posistion, therefore: I send my condolences and offer you these words (personally):

"Nothing Gold Can Stay"

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

~Robert Frost

*People interput this poem in so many different ways. To me, times like these, it fits just right.*

When life tests us, no matter how, whether it be battling an illness, surviving financial crisis, dealing with the loss of a loved one....Its as if you are caught in a storm at sea....waves of pain, angst, fear rush over you.... its over whelming, and hard to see which way is up. The trick is to just keep afloat...keep those legs kicking, because the skies WILL clear, the waters WILL calm, and your loved ones will become visable from shallow waters, arms reached out, calling to you, pleading with you.... "just keep kicking."

" Like a winter blossom, love is rarely grown, threads of pain adorn thy heart, to have lost in love is better than to have never known " ~T7L

I wish you strength.
