Thank you to those who wished me a happy birthday. It was not all I had hoped it would be, but I think I was hoping for it all, and got none of it. I shouldn't put too much emphasis on one day of the year just because it has been dubbed "special". It seems like the special days are the ones with the biggest letdowns, because they come with the biggest hopes and expectations. I did enjoy the part of the day where I went to Grandma's and watched 3 innings of the Cub's game, and I think it meant more to Grandma than it did to me. If anything, at least I did something positive by giving something to someone for my birthday.
