I tried going to Dalnet before and was never allowed to connect because of a identity/firewall/router issues. Today I tried again and voilá! It worked. I was surprised to see 80,000 ppl on line spread in about 34,000 rooms/channels. There are rooms for mp3, for sex, for tech support from various companies, for puter programers, for christians, etc. I went into a room with 26 ppl but found out over 20 of them were clones of the same nerd who talked to me. If we go there, more then likely our nicks are already registered by someone else. Yes, it's a stable server.... But I am not sure it's the place for us... It would be nice if more ppl check it out and post here their oppinions about it. But, you can register the room on Dalnet and it will always be on and folks may tumble in or not." I agree HARD.... I dont like rooms which have chatters as OPs... it feels like they are principals.... BigBrothers... hovering around looking for an opportunity to kick or ban someone. I too like the freedom of the "anything goes" and if we dont like something we talk and reason with the weird person... Kicking should be the very last thing to do, after days or weeks of harrassement... However... a registered room always has an OP. Or at least a bot to keep the room open.
