This topics problerm is that there are people on here saying stuff that are just clearly wanting to never see another single car and they are not COMPLETELY opening their minds to others views who do like the singles. TRUE , the singles this year have lost car count and it is true that SOME of it is due to payout, there may only be 16 single cars in the nation as of 5\19 but what some of you may not know is that here , very local, there are approx. 6-7 or more single cars, and from iowa and kansas maybe 3-4 that do not wish to race because of all this BS going on about payouts, and people just comstantly B-ing about the singles, Stephen has made some of the best points about this soo far , and nop he never said that you will make a living micro sprints he said the opposite, he was OBVIOUSLY saying that IT COULD lead to something that does, like the WOO. yes i am a singles driver if you havent figured it out, i started out in the 125 B class which recently died, yeah the singles might be dying but it doesnt help that there are certain presidents and leaders that are trying to kill them even more, i personally think that a president should support any class that is still bringing in profit for any club or organization and not try to remove it, that would not be too smart. i know of people that would love to come and start racing at sweet springs but they want to start out in the singles but have nopw decided to back out because our club and organization wishes they would die, and they do not wish to start out in a 600r or above. racing is racing and it is suppose to be fun and thats what us singles drivers do, and true Dean, yeah we may fall out in about 10 laps, but at least we go out there and we do start, thats what counts and thats how you do get points, you do not have to finish just to get points, every class does a great job of racing and i hope we can all stay, and yeah evolution does take effect and cant always be stopped but sometimes that special thing does find a second wind and overpower what should happen, and also there are MANY single cars on the east coast, just not NMMA so that does not help us, but they did use to be NMMA and chose to leave for the same problems, which therefore makes me say this, you have several drivers that devote their time and effort each and every week to SS no matter the car count, they pay to race just like everyone else, and they are there for fun, you do not see them wishing for the removal of any class, as a matter of fact there have been a few singles drivers go straight to multis, so why run off prospects that are currently mopving up into bigger classes, there a few single drivers now that are looking for multi cars that want to race single and multi both, so why not help those that are there now as best as we can until the day comes, the class deserves to live its fullest just like every other class, and as for car count you can plan on seeing me back on that track this season, i dont care if i win 15 or 5 dollars im doing it for fun and leisure and maye even recognition, yeah a bigger payout would be alot better so i guess us singles are just gonna have to pull together and stop all the complaining and show them how many of us there really is out here so they know that we do still have a good class.and as far as whoever said that the nonwings dont get very much either, well thats pretty much a no-duh thing because even last year our class had more than they did so its not like they really took a loss on their checks when they get paid the same amount as a bigger class does. i like all the classes they all are great, just wanted to put in my cents worth and reply to those of you in interest. im not here to bash anyone as i want to see the singles stay, but i will not fail to back up anyone with a legitimate argue for the singles, now the real question and time of need for the singles is, are we gonna sit back and not race because the multis,A's and restrictors paychecks are triple ours, or are we gonna get a full field of cars each night again and prove that we deserve part of their checks too. i believe we have the potential to do it, we just have to be willing now, not bullheaded and stiff about the situation, keep yourself open to thoughts and work on building up. i hope this helps you to know just a little more....
