Dear Racer X~

First, I want to start by saying that Tyler is a 15-year-old young man who not only loves racing, but also loves the people he races with. The opportunity to learn from such a great group of drivers is something he is very thankful for. Tyler goes out of his way to make conversations, show respect and learn from each of you.
I believe that he is a very talented young man who works hard to make his dreams come true. He has a great heart and the drive to make good things happen. This is why I hate to see such negativism and mockery being made of him.
He, nor his grandfather, would ever do anything that was illegal just to win a race! Our family does not believe in cheating! After all, if you have to cheat to win, was the win really worth it? How could you take pride in the win? I think he has showed that he has the ability to run the race honestly.
I do not believe that “all the drivers in the A class” think that Tyler is “cheating”, instead I think it is one driver who seems to point the finger at everyone one time or another! I would ask you “Racer X” to do what I have always told Tyler to do, “Don’t say anything at all, if you can’t say something nice.” He does not deserve to be bad mouthed! As Tyler’s mom, I think Tyler is doing a first-class job this year and has come a long way. He still has a great deal of learning to do, but it is to bad he cannot learn from your skill and experience instead of your ignorance. Please keep in mind that our young drivers look up to you and strive to be more like you, what kind of example are you setting?
If you have questions about what a driver is running, take it to your officials and handle it appropriately. Please think before you react as your actions have an affect on all of us. Don’t whine, bad mouth, stir the pot, shake your fist at other drivers, drive around the racetrack until the officials see things your way, and put untruths on the message board just because you have a little competition. I do want to thank you for your interest though.
In addition, I would like to thank all of you that have shown such a Great Example to Tyler; all your knowledge, help, support, and friendships have made racing a great experience for TYLER and our family! We look forward to many great races!
Renee’ (Tyler’s Mom)
