Not trying to pick on you Shaun - this is a good debate!!

From the previous post: "You'll know when it's bad because the car will run like crap!" If you truely believe this then what are we worried about if the sensor is missing or nonfunctional? Seems like a FULLY functional TPS is an ADVANTAGE under all throttle conditions!!!

Does anyone have dyno results to prove if locking the sensor is an advantage - that would be interesting to see. Maybe the NMMA can buy one hour of dyno time and check that out before making a hasty judgement and overturning the past rules interpretations!

I believe one of the cars in question this last weekend at SSMC was the 18 car in the R-Class. That car does NOT have a TPS installed, yet has won a main this year and was running up front again this weekend. Doesn't look like a nonfunctional tps is affecting him at all (note: I don't know if there is a resistor installed instead).

The only time I have seen a carbureted R6 run like crap regarding the tps was when you make a mistake and hook the tps to the speed sensor connector and vice-versa.
