Subject: NMMA Affiliation

The Mid Missouri Micro Midget Racing Association (MMMMRA) held their December meeting on Sunday December 3, 2006. The Board of Directors of the Association recommended to the general membership that MMMMRA and the SweetSprings Motorsports Complex (SSMC) operate independent from the NMMA. At the general membership meeting a vote was taken and the issue passed unanimously. The MMMMRA and SweetSprings Motorsports Complex will not be affiliating with the NMMA in 2007.

The NMMA affiliation of the SweetSprings organization has been a long one. Club members cited dissatisfaction with the current leadership and direction of the NMMA and hope for sweeping changes as a result of the decision.
