They escaped with a narrow 19-17 victory. 1st leg 5-4 Phoenix, next three legs 5-4 Elite. Shock news - Steve Adams, only in the team due to the absence of Pointer Jnr(exam revision duty), loses 2 out of 2 and is benched. His replacement Craig Marston, beats Rob Hill.

Never more than 2 frames in it upto 14 - 14, But a run of 4 frames in the last leg won it for Elite. Phoenix took last 3 to finish just 2 frames down. Apparantly Rob was only planning to play first 2 legs and then leaving, with Justin Warne playing last 2. But with score 9 - 9 after 2 legs, They asked if Rob could play his last match early. We agreedas they'd already allowed the same concession for Scott.
