Sounds like you already know the answer. In my experience the time figures are the first ones to go when the g-shock has a low battery and when puching the light button it sort of takes all the power, and voila, the numbers disappear. Try changing batteries.

And I'm sure i'm not the only one visiting this web site who would like to know if you have some photos of you with your g-shock that you can show us here on the site.
