NHIAA the criteria for seeding a team is as follows:
1. Rating* in head-to-head competition which shall be the established team rating system based
upon contests against opponents involved in the tie providing they have played each other the
same number of times.
2. Rating against NHIAA class opponents selected for the tournament including all teams involved
in a tie for the last position. Once the tournament teams have been selected, the teams that were
tied for the last position are no longer used in breaking ties as they are not considered tournament
teams.
3. Quality of wins against tournament teams in class including all teams involved in a tie for the
last position. (Ranking) **
4. Rating against class opponents on the road. ***
5. Rating against class opponents at home.
6. Wins on the road regardless of class.
7. Wins at home regardless of class.
8. If teams are tied after the first seven criteria, the team that defeated the highest NHIAA seeded
team in their class (includes both tournament and non-tournament teams) will be selected.
9. As determined by the sports committee.
Once a criterion has been found to break the tie, it will be used to rank the teams involved in the tie.
If, after the original criterion has ranked the teams, existing tie(s) shall be broken by starting at
criterion number 1 (head to head) down through the remaining criteria until the tie is broken.
Example:
Five teams (A, B, C, D and E) are involved in a tie.
All five are 2 and 2 in head to head.
Records against teams selected for the tournament are:
A: 8-4; B: 8-4; C: 7-5; D: 7-5 and E: 6-6.
Teams A and B would be ranked 1st and 2nd in the tiebreaker.
Teams C and D would be ranked 3rd and 4th in the tiebreaker.
Team E would be 5th in the tiebreaker.
To break the tie of A and B, use criterion 1 (head to head).

Jordan LaGuerre (6-0 SG/PG) NH Heat: Multi-dimensional player who is strong, can hit from beyond the arc, and can get past defenders to the hoop. A great defender himself, he disrupts passes with quick hands. Unselfish, but also showed he can take over a game when needed.

Mike Mitchell (5-6 PG) New Hampshire Falcons: Without question the most creative passer at this event at any level. His game is �Pistol Pete� Maravich�s in a Spud Webb body. Despite his diminutive size, he goes fearlessly to the hoop and gets off shots. Range extends beyond the arc. Terrific in transition. True point guard who delivers passes that result in good shots. Size, though, results in some limitations. His future level depends on physical development.

Also Jacob Nelson, Eric Watson and Cody Koester collect Honorable Mention.

Last yr participants included the NH Heat, Seacoast Stingray, and a bunch of team from Maine, and NH. Last year individuals that played included Lucas Croteau. It is a good tourney to play in to get ready before the aau season.

Milford won the Franklin Pierce tourney over the weekend beating Conant in the championship game. Teams included were Milford, Wilton,North Middlesex, Quabbin, Conant and Monadnock. Milford sent a partial freshmen roster and a few returning upperclassman. Mitchell, Holder and Handonovic showed that they all could run the floor and play the game and full speed.

Undefeated Teams -- Old Coach, 06:58:18 03/17/08 Mon
Each class had an undefeated team this year. Congratulations to Salem and Conant for bringing home a state championship. Wilton lost in the finals and had to settle for a runner-up trophy (they lost to a high powered Colebrook offense). That brings us to Oyster River - great season, but losing early in play offs again. The last time Oyster River played in a title game they had 2 Friels on the team. Always a top 4 team in regular season, then an early exit in the tournament. The constant here is the coach. The Bobcats have very good players every year, but the 2008 coach of the year (what a joke!!!)does not put together the right chemistry for play offs. Time for a change in Durham.

Will we remember Jackson's punk ass on the court antics, Jackson failing off the team numerous times, Jackson throwing his teammates under the bus, Jackson failing to come up big when his team needed him most. Or will we remember the positives of Jackson's career such as him helping Central to a state title in 2004-2005. Thats about all I can think of that's positive. Jackson was a few years too old for his grade, but had the talent to contribute big time. He just never had the concentration or the desire to become a great athlete. Unfortunately we will remember Jackson as a bust and as a confused person who just couldnt get it done. I'm sorry to see such a disappointing career come to an end. We will miss you JJ.

So I've gotten completely fed up with VoyForums for several reasons...

1. Anonymous posting - anybody can post as anybody.
2. No moderation - there is no "policing" of flamers and other posters who do not post respectfully
3. The Layout - I hate how each message of this board is displayed, topics get lost down the list too quickly especially if there is a long post
4. No organization - topics range primarily from Class L and Class I, but there are no organized sections.
5. This is a New England basketball forum...we need a NH basketball forumm
6. Girls Hoop - believe it or not there is some great girls hoop being played and there should be a place to talk about it should you choose.

So what did I do about it??? Well I created a new forum over at AceBoards. Its a free forum service just like this one but one with the structure to allow moderation and administration (me and me), as well as sectionalized topic areas. I think everyone will like the layout a lot better ove at Ace. It looks and feels like the internet of today, not the internet of the early 90's like this board.

Anyway, if you want to come over to where the court is shinier, follow the link below. I will warn you, you have to register, confirm a valid email address and sign in to post messages. It is all completely free and comes with less advertising (small goggle links) than this board does.
