Jackie opens the door and Cat walks in everyone just stares at her. Cat:What?Whats wrong? Jackie:Uh where's Jiz at Cat: He should be behind me why? Lams: We just wondering that's why. Jackie: Yea girl get in here so you can see the baby. Cat:Alright...Yall sure yall okay? Everyone gives a nervous laugh. And walks into the living Tyra:John should be here by now huh? Cats holding the baby not really paying attention to their words. Cat: Hey my little Symphony something's wrong with these people umhm..Make sure your nothing like you Godparents. Everyone laughs and there's a knock on the door. Lams gets up and runs to get it. Its John and he's very out of breath and his face is red. John: Have you seen Jamal Lams:Naw where were you a few minutes ago? By this time everyone's standing in the doorway listening. John:I walked here. Jamal stopped by talking about he wanted to see the baby so I told him he could ride with me but on the way here we ran into Kelly and to make a long story short I let him keep the car while I walked here. I had a lot on my mind. Lams:Whats up man? John: I'll tell you about it later. Jackies already walking back into the livingroom mumbling to herself Jackie: I cant believe that n**** has the nerve to get it on not even a block away from me. Everyone follows Jackie into the livingroom John: What do you mean? Jackie: He's boning Kelly in your car right now!!! John: He's what!! Jackie takes him upstairs so he can see by now the car has stopped rocking and is taking off. Jackie: I cant believe it! She takes Symphony from Cat and walks downstairs. Everyone is in shock. Needless to say Jamal didn't make it to Jackies house that day. Cat ended up driving John home. John was silent the whole way there. Cat: Jiz. Jiz doesn't answer the first time Jiz:hmmm Cat: Baby what's wrong? Jiz: You wanna come in Cat:Sure...I guess. Cat and Jiz are seated on the couch. Jiz:Letonia's back Cat looks like the wind was just knocked out of her. She takes a breath and swallows hard. Cat:Shes back....Back like how? Jiz: Back like Lams Mom is letting them stay with her for a little while. Cat gives a shaky smile Cat: Okay and what--what does that have to do with us? Jiz: She wont stop calling me. I mean its crazy..I don't know. Cat: Well what do you want me to say? John just looks at her and says nothing Cat: What am I supposed to say John!! John:Nothing.I just don't want you acting different towards me. You know how you get. Cat: Well how do you expect me to act? IM not about to let you cheat on me again. John you know your just about all I got. You love me right. John:*sighs* yea I love you know that and IM not going to cheat on you. Cat takes his hand and looks into his eyes. Cat: We'll then promise me something John. John: What? Cat: That nothing can tear us apart. John:Thats a promise. Can you promise me the same? Cat: Of course. John kisses her forehead and Cat lays her head on his shoulder. Lams walked into the house later that night and was surprised to see bags on the floor. He was even more surprised to see Letonia and her mother sitting on the couch. Lams: What's going on here?..... ***** Krys sighed and stomped her feet under the lunch table. Krys: Guess who's checking back in today? Lib: Who? Krys: Letonia Lib raised his eyebrows Lib: Really? Krys: Really and you better not even think about saying a word to her. Lib:Dang I know you want me all to yourself but saying hi aint gon hurt. Krys punched Lib in the arm playfully. Krys: IM serious boy I don't trust her at all. Lib:Alright alright.Dang. On the other side of the lunchroom a scene was coming to an end. John: How could you be so stupid? How could you? John pushed Jamal. Jamal:John.Chill John:Chill?Chill...You had my car, you had that trash in my car and IM spose to chill. Who do I look like? How could you do that so close to Jackie man? Jamal: John shut the F--- up! John stops for a minute and looks like he wants to kill Jamal. John: You are so lucky you USED to be my boy. John walks off. **** After school Cat called Jackie to fill her in on the latest drama. Cat:Hows little Symphony doing? Jackie:Dang Cat what about me? Cat: Hey how are you? Jackie: IM fine and so is Symphony thankyou.So what's up? Cat: Jiz was about to fight Mal in your honor Jackie:Really?What happened? **** Letonia was blowing up Johns phone line. He finally gave in and asked what she wanted. Letonia: John can we just talk face to face? John: About what? There's nothing to talk about. Letonia: John If you just stop by to see me tonight I'll leave you alone OK? John: OK. Letonia: Good meet me on the corner of Lams Street OK? John:Aiight whatever. John pulled over to where Letonia was standing and shook his terrible thoughts. Letonia was looking good in some tight lowrise jeans and a long-sleeved white blouse. John: What's up? Letonia smiled weakly as she got in the car. Even though so much time had passed she still had it bad for John. Letonia: Hey there John: So where do you want to go? Letonia: IM kind of hungry. John: Well don't take it to hard when I say I don't want to be seen in public with you. Letonia laughed off the hurt that statement made her feel. Letonia: Well there's a drive-thru at Taco Bell John:Thats cool. After they ordered John parked in the parking lot. John: So what do we need to talk about? Letonia: About us John: There is no us. Letonia couldn't believe John was acting so cold towards her. Letonia: John why are you being like this? John: I have a girl Letonia. This is not right. Letonia: So your trying to tell me this isn't right? Letonia leans in and gives John a kiss full of passion. John kisses her back then comes to his senses and pulls away. John: Its time to get you back home...My girls waiting on my call. John pulls up to the corner. John: Look Letonia Cat is going through a lot right now and I really don't want her to get hurt anymore. Can you try to understand that? Letonia rolls her eyes and gets out of the car. Letonia: Whatever Letonia watched John walk away and smiled to herself Letonia:Its only a matter time Jiz..I always get what I want **** Lams: So what's this important thing you need to talk about Jiz: I know it was while before you and Des got it on right? Lams: Yea Jiz: Well did you ever have the urge to cheat on her? Lams: Where are these questions coming from? You and Cat having problems? Jiz: I cheated on her man. Lams: You what? Jiz: I cheated on her man. I mean she knows but I still feel guilty about it. She wants to wait until she's married you know and its so hard Lams. Lams:Damn....Thats..Wow. Jiz: I love Cat I really do. I just I just don't know. Lams:But Jiz....Who did you cheat on her with? Jiz takes a long time to answer Jiz:Letonia....................
