Mavikan takes a step back, holding the baby girl in her arms tightly. She's a great deal older, and certainly less trusting of humans than her naive Teradryn. She's seen what they can do to weres. Now they're all going to know where we stay, Teradryn....if you're going to talk to him, go out there. She doesn't mean to be harsh, of course, but she's worried that any passersby might notice Tarkin talking into the cave. They can't risk being run out of here.

Neicolas begins to nod, then remembers that Indira probably can't see him by now. "Okay. You want me to take him, too? He sounds like he's getting antsy." Vanin's asleep against his shoulder, but Neicolas is trying not to jostle him too much. He can hear Teradryn talking to a stranger above them, and he doesn't have any intention of letting whoever it is know that there are more kids down here. Vanin can be loud when he's rudely awakened.
