"I think," Miryam replies to Tarkin, her eyes following the disappeared man, "if his master is as fickle as he seems to be, I doubt it. Besides, I'm not sure I believe a word he said. He may just be a rogue trying to frighten us off."

Her gaze falls from the tree where the man disappeared back to the scrap of note that'd been attached to the bolt. Even if that had not been her stalker, he's still around. And by being around herself she puts the others in danger. I suppose my reason for sticking with a group has fallen apart, anyway, she thinks to herself. Not very discreet, since someone's found me. I suppose I ought to leave? She directs the question to the cat perched next to her on the horse. The long-haired tabby's big amber eyes look back up at Miryam.

~It's your choice,~ his voice plays in her head, ~but it is probably wiser. Just because you are wanted alive doesn't mean no regard will be given those around you.~

"Well," she finally says, to Tarkin this time, "I ought to be splitting ways with your party now, I think. You've been good company, though."
