Subject: Would it be out of line to say I miss you?

He had been coming to terms with the loss of Storm. Life had taught him that, whether he wanted them to or not, the days still changed, and life still moved on, with or without him. He'd realized that life was short, and he'd better move on with the days or he would waste a great deal of something precious. Lacey's almost constant presence had been a great deal of comfort, however, and it had left him all the stronger. Right now, though, he was just taking a moment for himself. The apartment was quiet, and he sat near the sliding doors to the balcony, watching busy city life occur beneath him. He wore a pair of track pants and an old beater, his knees drawn up a little, his back leaned against the doorframe.
