I am more than happy to sign this highly essential petition - the area that the hospital's remains is situated in does not need to be desecrated by building yet more modern architectural monstrosities, scarring the land even further. The redevelopment of the site of the old Taplow Lodge was atrocious enough, but this schem is purely ridiculous. The damage to the beautiful environment would be devastating, and would no doubt lead to the erecting of a large supermarket, 'local' shops, more homes and on and on, until, finally, what was once one of Buckinghamshire's most treasured beauty spots would simply be a polluted eyesore. Shame on the National Trust for even thinking damaging our precious natural landscape. If only they were thinking sensibly, rather than thinking with their money-grabbing fingers...
