Firstly thank you for your very appropriate and timely comments. No, no one should assume that anyone claiming to be a police officer on any internet site actually is. This is something I should of brought up earlier myself to be honest. Partly the reason I overlooked this is because both Damon & Owen are fully aware that I am genuine.

to answer your questions;

Some times I will use slang and abreviations because I am aware young persons view this site and I do not wish the police service to appear unaccesible to them or out of touch. After 10 years as a police officer and a parent myself I know too well todays children are tomorrows criminals.

I do not actually ask for anyone's e-mail address, I did state that it was a shame some people didn't put their addressess on any comments for the reason that I believe certain people, local coucillors and persons neighbouring the locallity have a right to know the full depth of this particular investigation. I can not do this on an open forum because there are parts of this investigation I do not wish made public knowledge. For my own protection Thames Valley Police Hi-tech crime unit (HTCU) are aware of this line of enquiry & obviously I would not meet any persons at any location other than a police station with another officer present. I don't particularly want kids turning up at the police station for a coffee but again I dont want to exclude young persons and If they wish to attend a police station I would urge them to bring a parent.

I am actually computer illiterate and had to enlist the help of TVP HTCU just to access the internet! Yes they thought it was funny too. The only time I look at the internet is to view this site to be honest. That is because it is relevant to the area I police and other reasons that I cannot go in to because I don't know who you are.

To be honest my investigation is going to be winding down very shortly, after six months with a very successful result although Damon, Owen & Myself will have to continue to monitor the forum for specific reasons.
