Well - I suppose we could - it's just that direct links are so much less hassle!

Anyway - a quick word about psychogeography. Most people I've introduced it to didn't realise they were already psychogeography fans. Let the owner of the (excellent)website www.classiccafes.co.uk explain:

"Psycho-geography is the hidden landscape of atmospheres, histories, actions and characters which charge environments."

Ever "felt" a buildings "past" when you walked into it? Do you love or loathe certain places but not be able to explain it? Do going to certain places put you in a particular frame of mind? Interested in places that haven't changed the way they looked since their origional creation/abandonment? If yes - investigate psychogeography further.

Anyway - as the Thames Valley slowly sinks into a car-crazy, Michael Shanly Homes hell, I've become more interesting in the things that gave the Thames Valley it's identity in the last few centuries. CRXMC and the Bourne End train line being two of many. Enought rambling - I'll post some link here when I can remember the websites I pinched them from!

First up - the Bucks Council archive - search for what ever you like - lots of good pics. The CRX is featured - but only outside shots. Cut and paste:

If you're looking for Bourne End archive photos in this site - look under "Wooburn". Burnham and Beaconsfield are also featured. I suggest you grab a drink and spend some time looking around this site, especially if you're a anorak like me :).
