having become quite obsessed with this hospital over the last few weeks, I did a google search to try to dig up references to Taplow Lodge on the internet. I did find this:

The site itself is bog all to do with the hospital - it's an archive of Winston Churchill's correspondence. However, on 19 Jan 1924, Churchill received a letter on the subject of a proposed no-confidence vote in parliament from a Sir Frederick Milner, of none other than Taplow Lodge! Mildly interesting. Apparently Sir Fred was not, by the time he wrote this letter, in the best of health. He was a politician best known for uttering some semi-famous quote about "cows which lay the golden milk". He appears to have corresponded with Churchill on more than one occassion, sometimes from an address in West London.

There are also references here and there to a Patrick Crawford Bruce having lived at Taplow Lodge in the late 1800's, and around the same time a Benjamin Sillence lived there while working as a coachman for the Duke of Atholl. This site:

which seems to trace routes through Jane Austen country or something equally effeminate, mentions PC Bruce as the owner of Taplow-Lodge (note hyphen) and, intriguingly, "monkey island". Wonder if our Pat had trouble with pixellated pirates? The Countess of Orkney (any connection with the Duke of Atholl?) lived nearby too, which perhaps explains the name of the housing estate which usurped the Lodge's site.

I have as yet failed to come up with a definite answer as to where Pink Floyd got their hospital beds - but I'm looking.
