Subject: Controller problem

My controller for my cyber home dvd ch dvd 402. I have misplaced the manual so I can't check what to do. the on front controls work but the hand held remote control will not function at all. can't turn the dvd on or any thing else from the hand held. I replaced the battries no luck. Help Help
