I am 16 and becoming a comedian, let me tell you something, at 14 no one will take you seriously, if your funny and have good insights, this is the best thing to follow, dont listen to what anyone tells you about your future, that will happen, its about not taking anything serious, dont listen to other people, present routines keeping in mind you dont care how dumb you look in front of other people, then you learn how to carve your talent out, best thing you can do now is practice goofing off in school, or get suspended for 5 days at a time for entertaining people, or making people laugh, thats what happened to me, i didnt care because to me it meant something, so i say test your talent, see how you interact with people. then just wait a couple years or more until you can start doing it profesionally. good luck, Don.
