Subject: 26th 3rd Port reunion

This message board sure isn't getting much use! Thought it might be a way for folks to communicate other than email. Starting to think about next year's reunion. Any ideas?

We would like to get some more participation from our local attendees on planning and setting up. Tim Emmons was a great help this year. He line up the tent for our picnic, picked it up, set it up, and then took it down and returned it. Of course he had some help from the Engine Committee at TSCHOOL but why not. It sure freed the rest of us up to take care of those other things. If you got some time how about volunteering?

Some ideas for going to places like Nauticus, Mariners Museum, Yorktown Battle Fields and the Air & Space Museum have been tabled. The logistics for an outing like that are too demanding at this point. What we are considering to attempt is to line up discount tickets or possibly free admission for our attendees. You get yourself there, mention your attending the Reunion and we get you in. What we need to do is call in some of our local folks who have inside contacts in these places to find out how to go about making this happen. As a start we are feeling out Mariners Museum and Miss Hampton II Boat Tour of Fort Wool and NOB.

Check out the website. Get interested and get involved. Hope to see at the 26th 3rd Port Reunion!

Pete
